Itineraries between natural Parks and reservoirs

Day 1 – (Saturday)
Arrival at Palermo in the morning, at Falcone e Borsellino airport, transfer to Scopello (TP), an old village risen at the end of 18th century, and accommodation in mini-flats. Free time in the afternoon. Dinner in a typical restaurant with products of Sicilian gastronomical tradition. Overnight stay.

Day 2 – (Sunday)
Breakfast, excursion to San Vito Lo Capo through Nature Reserve “Lo Zingaro”, foto

the first reserve set up in Sicily. Along the way it will be possible to have a rest in one of the beautiful creeks which flank the path, and, if the weather is good, you can also bathe. You will visit Uzzo Cave, an interesting hollow that has been inhabited since prehistory. Arrival at San Vito Lo Capo where it will be possible to taste the traditional meat or fish couscous. Return to Scopello, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 – (Monday)
Breakfast, excursion to Castellammare del Golfo, climbing of Mount Inici from which top it is possible to observe the ancient “neviere” (masonry caves where winter snow was conserved to put food and beverages in a cool place in the summertime) and to enjoy the extraordinary landscape which overlooks the Gulf. In the afternoon return to Scopello, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 – (Tuesday)
Breakfast, transfer by mini-coach to Madonie Park, excursion along the panoramic State Road 286, accommodation in flats or in a farm holiday centre, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 – (Wednesday)
Breakfast, excursion to Piano Sempria and Piano Pomo where it is possible to see an old “pagghiaru” foto

(traditional house of the shepherds who were on a mountain pasture) and the gigantic hollies grove, that is a wonderful example of botanical endemism in Madonie. foto

Day 6 – (Thursday)
Breakfast, transfer by mini-coach to Nebrodi Park, excursion to Mangalaviti wood, in the afternoon accommodation in B&B, dinner in a typical restaurant, in Portella Gazzana.

Day 7 – (Friday)
Breakfast, excursion for the whole day, to Lake Biviere di Cesarò, a wonderful damp zone where many species of aquatic birds and palustrine turtles live. Return to B&B and overnight stay.

Day 8 – (Saturday)
Breakfast, transfer to Palermo airport Falcone e Borsellino. End of our services.
